POSITION OBJECTIVE

  • Responsible for the effective implementation of the organization’s Supplier Quality and development program

  • Direct multi-site-level, BU level global teams of SQEs, which are primarily responsible for the management of robust Supplier Management programs for designated manufacturing and development activities.

  • Responsible for ensuring all incoming products meet technical, quality specifications and regulatory requirements

  • Develop the strategy and execute on a proactive risk-based Supplier Management Governance Framework that reviews Supplier Performance and trending for items such as NC's CAPA's SCAR's Audit Results etc.

  • Develop mutually beneficial Partnership with suppliers, provide technical assistance to ensure enterprise meets its quality objectives by superior quality management of supplier base.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for Supplier Quality risk management. Develops and implements supplier quality evaluation and control systems

  • Interfaces directly with supplier personnel and must be knowledgeable in and capable of assessing both supplier quality and manufacturing processes and procedures

  • Keeps management apprised of supplier performance, quality status, and risks. Coordinates and oversees Supplier Quality plan implementation through all program phases.

  • Provide guidance on supplier scorecard metrics to procurement team and assist in supplier selection

  • Assures supplier process and product quality, including contractual, regulatory, and technical compliance

  • Manages implementation of Supplier Quality processes, including supplier approval activities, source selection evaluations, supplier classification designation (Critical, Key and Standard) and lead product qualification through PPAP, FAI and quality control plans.

  • Maintains standard processes for deviations, waivers, ECN, qualification, audit and CAPA’s

  • Strong leadership ability, capable of creating followership through collaboration across the organization

  • Ability to engage with internal/external customers, regulatory bodies, and cross functional teams

  • Ability to lead in a global environment across different regions/cultures

  • Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations

  • Experience in advanced statistical processes, APQP, Source inspection and flow downs.

  • Proficient in influencing and persuades others internally and/or externally, including senior leaders

  • Act as Change Agent for internal customers, suppliers and strong collaborator

  • Understanding of product conformance requirements with knowledge across multiple industries

  • Ability to function effectively in a global / matrix organization

  • Sound knowledge of quality / information systems

  • Well-developed administrative and management skills

  • Ability to lead team P&L forecasting, actuals and all aspects of budget management

  • Demonstrated experience in leading teams, organizing, and managing projects and developing/coaching/guiding team members (both direct and indirect reports)

EDUCATION/PRIOR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree REQUIRED. Prefer engineering major or Technical background.

  • Prefer over 15 years in Quality and or technical discipline.

  • Prefer 5 years of experience in supplier quality processes and problem-solving methods

  • Prefer 3 years at senior leadership level

  • ISO 9001, AS9100 or ISO 13485 certification preferred

  • Strong knowledge of Risk Management practices Corrective and Preventative Actions and regulatory requirements such as ISO 9001 and AS9100. GMP, FDA knowledge and other ISO standards an advantage.

  • Working knowledge of GD&T, manufacturing processes and metallurgy a plus
