Danaher Business Systems is hiring a Human Resources Business Partner to will play a vital role in supporting the Life Sciences functions. The HR Leader / Generalist will be responsible for the support and strategy for the Life Sciences Platform in Human Resources.

The incumbent is responsible for a variety of aspects related to HR partnerships with the Life Science function leaders (Finance, BD, Legal, Digital, Marketing) supporting, advising, and collaborating to deliver and develop a broad range of HR services for the organization. This includes providing support in the following critical areas within HR: organizational change; recruiting and talent management; engagement and retention; compensation and benefits; HR compliance, and general policy administration, and workforce planning.

You will provide targeted support to Life Sciences HR through mentoring, training, and project leadership to enable process improvements. Sustainment of stronger results through the use of Danaher Business Systems tools. And analytics and improved performance reporting to advance critical initiatives.

This role is a strategic enabler aligning priorities and scaling impact through our team global HR leaders and business partners by identifying strategic harmonies or internal commonalities based on data. And demonstrating external standard methodologies to build the framework/tools/systems that address both the LS HR platform needs and OpCos. This requires collaborating with partners to understand the root cause of gaps, developing action plans to address the critical few to drive the intended impact/outcomes critical initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with functional leaders and their teams to support HR administration, initiatives, and strategies that directly support and enable strategic objectives.

  • Partner with the business leaders on communication and organizational change.

  • Responsible for key talent and management development including collaborating with leaders regarding team development, succession, and personal & professional development of associates.

  • Drives and sustain core process supporting performance management – challenges managers to assess accurately and make the right calls around people, and supports them working through those decisions.

  • Works with leaders and managers to execute corporate policies and HR programs ensuring appropriate and agreed levels of quality, delivery, and cost.

  • Lead client groups through critical HR operating rhythms such as salary planning and performance management.

  • Develop and drive strategies to attract, develop, engage and retain strong and diverse talent

  • Work with leaders and employees to build a positive and engaging work environment.

Danaher Business Systems Leader:

  • Own the training, implementation, and mentor of continuous improvement processes, standard methodologies, and tools in LS HR globally.

  • Lead and handle the HR Global Kaizen Funnel and coach/partner with HRLT to develop project charters and lead events through all funnel stages, expansive of sustainment.

  • Support the determination of LS Platform HRLT critical initiatives by pairing Danaher Leadership’s initiatives and the Life Sciences cross-OpCo common themes, adjacencies in Talent Management, Recruiting, D&I, Engagement.

  • Train and facilitate process improvement in HR using the identified tools above that enable business leaders to get results.

  • Build foundational DM processes and analytics to create leading HR initiatives that are consistent across all Life Sciences OpCos that can be consolidated at the Platform level to implement, predict, and continuously improve the performance of key initiatives.

  • Set process, expectations and deploy into Life Sciences HR to establish difficulty around daily management to ensure maximum revenue results.

  • Work hand in hand with Life Sciences HR Platform leadership and OpCo’s centers of expertise leaders to understand HR tools and processes in place and assess strengths, needs, gaps in day-to-day business decisions. Collaborate on process improvement priorities and initiatives to ensure the human resources organization is producing the greatest results for the business.

  • Analyze human resources processes and systems to identify and recommend areas of improvement. Identify significant metrics that are most critical to business performance and design solutions to source the critical data and surface it in significant reports.

  • Craft and improve human resources performance reporting (includes Turnover, IFR, TTF, Engagement pulses, Diversity) utilizing tools from Workday and other technologies as available.

  • Support M&A integration activity post-close in HR through the use of Danaher Business Systems tools, process, and data analytics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in field with 10+ years’ experience or master’s degree with 7+ years or doctoral with 4+ years

  • Ability to contribute to up to 25% of required domestic and international business travel

  • Strong influence skills – can lead groups in kaizen and drive strong results

  • Knowledge of US employment laws and relevant institutions, including EEOC, INS, ADEA, ERISA, ADA, FMLA and FLSA

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-3 years in a Danaher business with exposure to Danaher Business Systems tools is helpful.

  • Experience working efficiently in diverse global environments.

  • 2-3 years of proven track record in HR leadership is preferred.
