Danaher Corporation IT Workday Learning Solution Architect in New York, New York

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with functional and cross functional process owners, acting as the solution architect for Workday Learning

  • Lead and support the requirements gathering, design, configuration, operations and maintenance of Workday Learning

  • Recommend technical best practices and provide sound solutions to support end to end business processes

  • Understand and maintain awareness of both current and new functionalities

  • Continually identify opportunities to optimize design, lead efforts to implement changes, and monitor improvements

  • Act as the lead for feature releases, working with functional business process owners to define scope, prioritize, plan and implement changes and enhancements based on the priority

  • Perform impact analysis due to new requirements, change requests or Workday releases

  • Troubleshoot system technical and functional issues and coordinate issue resolution with development, technical, and operations teams

  • Manage and provide leadership to the technical resources who support the break/fix efforts of all functional configuration, reporting and HCM application

  • Support timely identification and escalation of risks and development of alternative technical and functional approaches when necessary

  • Identify test scenarios and provide key support in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), track defects/ issues and provide resolution

  • Document the current (as-is) and future (to-be) state of Workday configurations, maintenance and support of Workday tenants

  • Responsible for maintaining documentation of complex requirements, functional and technical specifications

  • Mentor and provide leadership development to team members

  • Participate in scheduled and ad hoc training in order to improve process and policy

  • Log / maintain tickets in ticket tracking system

  • Act as an active member for the Workday community - staying ahead of Workday updates, fixes and resolutions

  • See and understand the “holistic picture” and recognize and understand any impacts to downstream systems

Skills Required

  • Workday Learning expert with deep knowledge of current functionality, design concepts, touch points with HCM, Compensation, Recruiting, and future product direction

  • Prior Workday implementation or upgrade experience which includes design, configuration and testing

  • Ability to understand data elements, data flow and associated impact to cross-functional processes

  • Strong problem-solving skills to determine root cause of technical problems with the ability to document effectively, escalate appropriately, and resolve in a timely manner.

  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong analytical skills: ability to analyze, document and problem solve with attention to detail

  • Demonstrated project management skills and resourcefulness to see tasks and initiatives through to completion with limited precedence and minimal guidance.

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and oral/written communication skills.

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

  • Strong foundation in IT Project methodologies and best practices

  • Experience with Vendor Management including working with an onshore / offshore model

  • Ability to work and coordinate with 3rd Parties on data related inquiries

  • Experience in resolving User “How To” questions and creating reference guides, learning, & communications.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in HRIS or information technology with demonstrated skills in HCM systems, specifically Workday

  • In-depth experience implementing or supporting Workday Learning

  • 4-year college, Bachelor’s degree (BA)

  • Prior working experience in a multi-operating company environment with proven experience leading large-scale projects or teams.

  • Collaborative team player who demonstrates flexibility and can-do attitude as part of a motivated, high-performance team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to partner effectively with cross-functional teams and influence without authority to promote alignment and gain consensus.

  • Demonstrated ability to answer technical questions for non-technical users and explain things in a way that a business associate will understand.
