The Technical Applications Manager for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for an Applications team driving team-based sales strategy—for both new and existing customers. Our new Technical Applications Manager will own, maintain, and develop relationships with customers at all levels and use inhouse subject matter experts to deliver a total solution to meet the needs of the customer. Working with their team to make this a reality.

This position is part of Beckman Coulter MicroScan located in Western United States and will be fully remote. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be a part of the MicroScan Applications team reporting to the Senior Manager of Technical Applications responsible for highly motivated Technical Applications team and you thrive in a fast paced, highly challenging management role supporting Beckman MicroScan customers and you want to work to build a world-class Applications Support organization read on.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Oversee the installation of all instrumentation in the region. This includes training operators in the use of Beckman Coulter Microbiology equipment and providing on-going support to customer

  • Ensure the department's regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures are followed

  • Collaborate with the Microbiology Marketing Team on new product launch and product and software updates.

  • Participate in Sales Management meetings on a regularly to strategize on sales initiatives and to establish VIP reference accounts.

  • Conduct performance reviews, guide your team to execute on winning strategies and demonstrate ability to develop own plans and objectives to support team goals.

  • Through solid Microbiology knowledge, develop and execute creative strategies to influence the customer for best possible workflow.

  • Follow through quickly and thoroughly on agreed upon actions with customer to advance the customer experience with Beckman MicroScan

    The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Field with 9+ years’ experience or master’s degree with 7+ years or Doctoral degree with 4+ years experience

  • Excellent time and territory management habits

  • Must be willing to travel 50-75% of the time

  • Highly motivated and success driven within a team environment

  • Strong communication and presentation skills; demonstrated ability to clearly, concisely, and accurately conduct a technical presentation

  • Highly organized with strong program and sales management skills

    It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Solid understanding of tactical sales skills: prospecting, qualifying, closing, and growing existing customers; we strongly prefer this experience in laboratory diagnostics

  • Prior supervisory experience

  • Prior experience in a regulated environment

The salary range OR the hourly range for this role is $104,000-$110,00 annually. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
