Our ideal Market Development Manager will:
Lead the day-to-day market development efforts for Pantone Color Institute, the business unit at industry leader Pantone devoted to color trends and color intelligence. The person we are looking for to join our NJ based team will have a passion for color and its role in design. They will be able to utilize their design background and industry knowledge, and blend a creative approach and strategic mentality, to help expand the footprint of Pantone Color Institute.
This role will include working collaboratively with our internal marketing/pr/social and global sales teams as well as with new and current external clients and partners. This role additionally includes participation in the content and go-to-market strategy for trend and design related services as well as develop and execute sales/marketing efforts for new and existing service offerings.
In your main role at Pantone, you will:
Manage market development strategy, sales/marketing programs and tactics to build awareness for Pantone Color Institute services through the use of PR, Social Media, Strategic Relationships/Partnerships, Direct and Digital Marketing/Advertising. This will involve cross-functional collaboration with internal and external teams and partners.
Drive creation of content calendar and content output, working with pr/marketing/web team and internal and external content creators.
Drive marketing/PR/social support of revenue bearing projects including writing case study articles adapted from already written content and collecting project assets for Pantone web site based on client approved work as well as ensuring social posts are happening per agreement with clients. Act as Pantone Color Institute internal point person for marketing and web team to manage process as well as ensure site content is maintained and updated. Interface and execute process with internal pr and social team for social postings, changes, updates and enhancements.
Work collaboratively with Pantone and X-Rite sales and marketing organization on Pantone Color Institute sales and marketing programs. First point of contact for sales when opportunity identified and scoping required for projects.
Liaise with clients, consultants and Pantone / X-Rite sales team on communication related to consulting service proposals. Client liaison/account management for won projects. Key point of contact for project delivery.
PCI consultant support. Lead process of onboarding new PCI consultants. Process and manage consultant invoicing matched with revenue recognition. Supplying products and materials consultant need to execute projects.
Traffic/measure engagement of revenue and non-revenue bearing pr/social marketing post results on a monthly/quarterly basis, recommending changes / modifications where needed.
Identify new models for color intelligence content delivery and drive integration of PCI services into Pantone digital platforms.

Highly articulate in both written English and visual communication
Ability to take industry as well as color and design knowledge to comment confidently on marketing communications as well as initiate new ideas
Proven ability to manage complex projects and coordinate with multiple partners to ensure on time project delivery

Your Education and/or Background Experience will have:
5+ years of developing brand awareness/marketing content and/or services for color trend or design related company with prior record of accomplishment.
Strong PR, Social Media and Brand management awareness and skillset
Fluent in current methods for content delivery and market trends with a knowledge of market dynamics, competition and direction.
Undergraduate Degree with design related Degree preferred
