The Regional Marketing Manager – Drug Development is responsible for identifying new leads, progressing existing opportunities within the region, direction of resources to investigate qualified leads, and subsequent performance communication. To be successful this person in this role will need to develop positive relationships within the commercial organization, the leadership team, and global search partners. The successful Regional Marketing Manager will be measured by their effectiveness in linking the Business Development Management (BDM) team with customers working in early stage biological drug development. Essential Job Functions
Identification of leads within defined region, development and progression of Marketing Qualified Leads (MQL’s) to Sales Qualified Lead (SQL’s).
Assign and supervise opportunities with Business Development Managers.
Serve as subject matter authority in targeted drug development and their progression within territory.
Effectively communicate and lead discussions with commercial teams on new and existing opportunities.
Create territory reports including but not limited to Action Plan progression, critical metric performance, Heat Mapping and Problem-Solving Processes and reports status on a monthly cadence.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related life sciences field. MBA preferred.
Proven commercial experience working in the biotech field in a marketing, business development, sales or product management function.
Detailed understanding of filtration/purification technologies within Biotechnology.
Proven experience working within large matrix environments.
Ability to travel as needed.
Proficiency in using Customer Relationship Management Systems.
Forecasting, market segmentation and competitive tools.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret large amounts of information.
Project management capabilities.
