Danaher Corporation SAP CS Implementation Architect in New York, New York

NOTE: This position may be remotely based from anywhere in the U.S.

The SAP CS Sr. Implementation Architect will be responsible for the successful deployment of SAP functionality in support of Cepheid’s technical service workstream including sites in Canada, LATAM, AsiaPac and EMEA. This induvial will be an important part of a focused core team empowered to manage all the tasks/activities associated with ensuring a flawless execution (on-time, on-budget, on-scope) which exceed end user and stakeholder expectations.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build and foster superb working relationships with global and local stakeholders especially in the areas of Technical Service, Tech Support, Customer Service. Collaborate with business usersto gain a deep understanding of their business processes and requirements.

  • Design, develop, and test system solutions to address business requirements, in alignment with the global solution template. Continue to enhance and refine templates such that a “playbook” of implementation activities is reusable on future SAP implementations.

  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure solution designs are well integrated and aligned to the overall enterprise architecture.

  • Configure SAP CS module to meet business requirements, including integration points with other SAP modules or other applications, following SAP best practices

  • Develop functional specifications for custom developments and collaborate with the development team to get those built and tested.

  • Provide support to end users for requirements mapping, data migrations, user acceptance testing, and training.

  • Escalate issues encountered and help facilitate successful resolution.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation such that the execution playbook is reusable for the next country.

TRAINING RESPONSIBILITIES: (REQUIRED)

  • Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time

  • For people managers, ensure your associates attend and complete all required trainings satisfactorily and on time.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience (in years):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, business, or related field.

  • Experience in working with business process/activity owners in understanding business requirement and solution design.

  • 12+ years of experience as an Information technology professional with a focus on enterprise applications.

  • Minimum of 3 (three) SAP turn-key implementation projects. Experience in implementing large and complex SAP projects and designing solutions to meet business requirements.

  • 8 + years of experience primarily in SAP Customer Service module (Integration with CRM to track the customer complaints (Salesforce), Service Notification, Service Order, Repair Order, Service Contracts, Resource Related Billing, Revenue Recognition, Service Settlements & other external systems/Vertex/VAT/Billing/Account determination & other SD related functionalities).

  • Deep understanding of the integration with other ECC modules (especially CS, SD, MM, WM, PP, FI & CO)

  • Expertise in other related areas such as Master data (Customer Master, Material Master, BOM, Equipment Master, Pricing & Output records etc.), Field Service Application, Batch Determination, Serial Numbers, Reporting, Queries, LSMW.

  • Experience in gathering business requirements for reporting needs.

  • Strong relationship building skills, internally within IT and with business users.

Knowledge and skills:

  • Highly adept I.T. Business Analysis skills.

  • Demonstrated strong skills with effective/decisive fact-based decision making.

  • Capability to lead or execute complex assignments and projects independently.

  • Fluency in English (both written and verbal).

  • An Optimistic, Can-Do attitude!

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Life Sciences SAP implementation experience, including computer system validation requirements.

  • Experience with Agile tools (like Jira)

  • International business experience exposure
