The Senior Applications Specialist provides professional customer service and technical support to IDT customers pre- and post-sale regarding product recommendations and end-use, provides experimental expertise for customers, and develops technical content and training.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Communicate with and support customers to provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support for a growing genomics-focused product offering
Triage and resolve support communications and complaints sent to IDT effectively and efficiently
Answer customer inquiries received by phone and email
Serve as primary point person for phone and email inquiries and escalate inquiries to the appropriate Customer Success team member via IDT’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
Document all incoming and outgoing customer interactions in IDT’s CRM system
Build and maintain a broad expertise in the Archer product lines and other relevant competitive technologies
Support other IDT service departments, including the Sales department, through consultation or escalation of product questions, customer issues, and technical inquiries
Liaise between customers, field teams, and internal teams, including R&D, Software, and Product Management as needed to resolve customer and internal interactions
Present technical information in regularly scheduled team meetings
Contribute to and maintain the Archer Customer Success team’s growing database of technical information (i.e. FAQs); reviews this information regularly to ensure that content is up to date
Demonstrate behavior consistent with the Integrated DNA Technologies Core Values
Perform other duties as assigned
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Chemistry, or related Life Science field
At least 1 year of experience with genomics applications in an industry or academic research laboratory environment, or related experience
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Experience in the life science industry or a research lab environment, especially strong Molecular Biology Applications background with previous experience in a wet lab
Positive internal and external relationship-management skills

The salary range for this role is $65,000 - $85,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
