This is a remote role with the ability to travel to customers and workshops-about 20%

Position Purpose:

This position is responsible for developing and evangelizing the roadmap and leading the product lifecycle for Videojet’s Digitally-enabled service offerings. By enabling connected devices and offering, we tap into the power of data and technology to enhance the value propositions associated with the complete suite of Videojet offerings.

Videojet supports packaging applications in a myriad of markets, including food & beverage, fast-moving CPG, and pharmaceuticals.

Responsibilities as a Software Product Owner include:

  • Get to Gemba to really understand customer packaging environments, connectivity challenges, IT concerns and unmet need

  • Prepare, maintain, and evangelize the product roadmap which defines product enhancements for short- and long-term releases.

  • Decompose epics/features into user stories that are granular enough for the team to estimate and work

  • Translate requirements into Epics and User Stories and develop/document acceptance criteria for stories to ensure features can be accepted, and validate that developed stories meet their acceptance criteria

  • Review and ensure scope is agreed to and understood by our technical teams, and drive requirements through to production release, and ensure smooth post-release communication cross-functionally.

  • Act as liaison between Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Technology teams to support product positioning and customer demand as part of new product development.

  • Be the specialist and go-to person for your products throughout the organization. Proactively educate others, solicit, and share feedback, and actively plan for the future incorporating any lessons learned

What do you need?

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.

  • 3-5 years of shown product management and agile software development experience in a product management role responsible for defining and shipping actual products

  • Consistent track record of leading and shipping actual software products, particularly mobile apps and enterprise software-as-as-service (SaaS) products

  • Proven ability to build a strong rapport and relationship with customers to gain in-depth understanding of customers’ problems and need

  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, translate to customer and business implications, handle tradeoffs and facilitate decision-making

  • Since this position requires frequent interaction with cross-functional teams and senior product management leadership, excellent communication, presentation, project management and problem-solving skills are critical

  • Ability to understand, recognize, and work within a multicultural and international business environment

  • Travel – Ability to travel 20% nationally and internationally
