Danaher Corporation Sr. Biotech Specialist, SUS Consultant - North America in New York, New York

The Sr. Biotech Specialist, SUS Consultant at Pall Biotech provides in depth technical and commercial expertise to drive the freezing and thawing distribution business and generate sales selling complete Biotechnology Solutions to customers in North America with the core focus on the freezing and thawing application and the related Pall portfolio. The person in this role should be able to evaluate a customer’s process to determine solutions and provide the sales force with the necessary tools, information and support to acquire additional sales and identify new opportunities. Sales targets are achieved via direct sales activities with customers across North America and by partnering with regional and global Account Managers as well as collaborating with strategic account managers.

Core objective is to improve the sales of the Pall distributed Single use support technologies combined with the Pall portfolio of all base and equipment portfolio.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Develop and execute a sales action plan for the freeze/thaw application to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and orders target through direct sales activities and partnership with the corresponding Account Managers.

  • Understand and identify accounts strategic vision, objectives and needs while positioning Pall Biotech products and services as a total solution where business opportunities exist. Core focus on freezing and thawing applications but not only linked to this.

  • Coordinate various functional groups within Pall (Pall Advanced Separation Systems, Integrated Solutions, Scientific and Laboratory Services, Marketing, Product Management, Inside Sales, Customer Service, etc.) to assemble and direct an effective team strategy so that customers’ needs are addressed quickly and sales opportunities are won.

  • Establish positive relationships with customer end-users and leaders to successfully promote Pall technology solutions and capabilities with the primary focus on freeze/thaw applications.

  • Provide technical support in extensive process freezing/thawing technologies to develop and support solutions that exceed the customers’ expectations. Recognize and pursue new opportunities from within existing accounts, working with the Account Management, Business Development team to help increase revenue.

  • Position, present and demonstrate Pall solutions technologies within customer process development and manufacturing groups.

  • Report and communicate all business opportunities, solution concepts and strategies using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.

  • Interprets internal and/or external business issues and recommends standard methodologies/works with customer base to assist in their acceptance.

  • Manage customer activity with CRM system tools for maximum efficiency and visibility; Develop a plan for success, provide accurate sales activity forecasts and maintain opportunities in the CRM system.

  • Collaborate with Product Management to organize Voice of Customer (VOC).

  • Biannual submission of key and strategic account overviews in CRM system ensuring customer details are current, in depth, forward looking and highlight competitive intelligence.

  • Lead functional teams or projects.

  • Participate in Danaher Business Systems (DBS) activities and process improvement teams.

  • Mentor and coach new Biotech Specialists on standard work, winning practices and knowledge sharing including training.

  • Claim and dispute management in case needed.

  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s Degree Life Sciences or relevant field.

  • Additional qualification in business administration is an advantage
