We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to work with other teams across the world to build high-quality, large-scale, enterprise-grade systems. The incumbent should be passionate and boundaryless with a demonstrated track record of delivering robust, stable and sustainable solutions. The ability to absorb new technologies, understand synergies with existing enterprise tools and the skill to leverage both to the maximum extent is a key component of this position.Role ResponsibilitiesDeliver cloud architecture solutions and provide technical expertise to solve business objectivesBuild and deploy secure, reliable and scalable solutions using Agile methodologiesCollaborate with other IT teams including software engineers, database admins, infrastructure and information securityDesign and support high-availability AWS servicesImplement and manage continuous delivery systems and methodologies on AWSAutomate security controls, governance processes and compliance validationDefine and deploy monitoring, metrics and logging systems on AWSDebug and triage issues, including off-hours as necessaryCollaborate to develop technical standards and processesCommunicate status updates and risksDesign, manage and maintain tools to automate operational processesParticipate on virtual teams to effectively distribute work, manage backlog, track deliverables and remove roadblocksStay current on emerging trends, propose improvement opportunitiesShare knowledge and best practices across the organization, coaching and mentoring junior level resourcesWho you areBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other technical / IT field, or similar related industry experience7+ year of experience as a cloud or Dev Ops engineerAWS Certification (AWS Solutions Architect, AWS DevOps Engineer)Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)Experience with web application servers (IIS)Experience with Microsoft Windows Server OS, Linux or UnixExperience with database management systems (Oracle, MS SQL)Excellent scripting and automation skills in Python, PowerShell or BashStrong knowledge of production operations, troubleshootingSystems analysis and design experience is a plusStrong track record of understanding and interest in current and emerging technologies demonstrated through training, job experience and / or industry activitiesDemonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challengesStrong sense of ownershipVery good command of English – spoken and writtenDesired characteristics include:Familiar with Content Management SystemsExperience with Solr, Git, Octopus Deploy, MS SQL, MongoDB, Jira/Confluence, Maven, JenkinsExperience with Docker container in a platform like Kubernetes or OpenStackExperience with API Gateways, MFT (high desirable)ITIL principlesActively engaged in external IT networks, attending conferences, user groups or participating in personal projects with a demonstrated desire to continuously learnPreferencesExcellent communication skills, presenting, listening and informing.
