POSITION SUMMARY:

The Digital Customer Experience (DCX) and E-Commerce Platform organization, within Cepheid, is seeking a Staff Business Analyst to join our team. We as a team are focused on delivering state of the art, frictionless e-commerce and digital experience to our customers. This role will play a key part by working directly with multiple internal and external stakeholders across the DCX and IT organizations to understand, clarify and document business and end user requirements and translate them to crisp and clear technical requirements that can be leveraged by IT teams.

The perfect candidate will be an experienced Business or Systems Analyst, with solid contributions in a product development environment, is focused on results, a self-starter, and has demonstrated success in contributing to the growth and success of a business. The candidate will blend requirements analysis with strong critical thinking and analytical problem-solving and reporting skills. Flexibility and the ability to prioritize in a changing business environment will also be key.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads the business requirements elicitation for Digital Customer Experience (DCX) platform with a strong emphasis on working closely with Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) and business stakeholder

  • Applies business acumen when analyzing and refining elicitation results into requirements and designs.

  • Experience in breaking down product requirements into detailed user stories, functional and technical for both custom and Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) systems.

  • Experience working in Agile environment and using tools such as Jira and Confluence.

  • Engage with key stakeholders to create current and future business process and data flows, design documents and test scripts to harmonize and optimize business processes to reduce the complexity of software solutions as well as aid engineering and QA partners during development and validation process.

  • Experience conducting end-to-end UAT and managing stakeholders during the UAT process.

  • Able to clearly communicate concepts to relevant stakeholders, and follow up to verify understanding and approval

  • Able to propose alternative solutions to problems or opportunities and informed recommendations based on evaluation of the solution’s value

  • Ensure delivery of the greatest business value to our team and our collaborators by working with the team to properly align priorities with our key stakeholders.

  • Guides and mentors peers in common business analysis techniques in order to help them deliver better business outcomes

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience (in years):

  • Bachelor’s degree in CS, Information Systems with 8+ years of related work experience

  • Master’s degree in CS, Information Systems with 6+ years of related work experience

  • Doctoral degree in CS, Information Systems with 3+ years of related work experience

Knowledge and skills:

  • Understanding and working knowledge of SAP, Salesforce and other Order Management systems

  • Ability to drive process flow mapping discussions with cross-functional teams

  • Influencing skills when guiding stakeholders during solution options

  • Analytical thinking and problem solving skills

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate information into relevant and actionable insights

  • Comfortable working in newly forming, ambiguous areas where learning and adaptability are key skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as high ethical standards. Ability to create and present to multiple organizations within Cepheid

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, organize complex requests, and resolve issues creatively

  • Experience using Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Word, Excel and Power BI

  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.

  • Ability to deliver high quality work in a fast-paced environment

  • Intellectually rigorous, analytical, and curious
