Danaher Corporation Camstar Support Analyst in Newark, California
The Camstar Support Analyst is responsible for analyzing and supporting Cepheid's implementation of Siemens' Camstar Manufacturing Execution System (MES) in our Newark facility, a 24/7 manufacturing site. This requires broad end-to-end knowledge of manufacturing and system processes from different perspectives: operator, quality engineering, quality assurance, logistics, etc. The Camstar Support Analyst is part of a larger team, which is spread out over the different manufacturing sites.
The Camstar Support Analyst also works in close collaboration with the Cepheid IT and Manufacturing departments to ensure manufacturing continuity, end-user training, resolution of Camstar issues, and process improvements/updates in Camstar with minimal guidance.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
On-site Camstar MES support point of contact. Provide or organize on time support and ticket resolution within the agreed SLA’s for the Newark site.
Provide guidance and support to Newark users including diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving any Camstar MES issues that may come up.
Perform or assist in root cause investigations and MES changes/updates.
Train users on how to use Camstar MES.
Analyze and understand manufacturing business needs, and translate those needs into:
Supporting business cases
Software requirements and specifications for Camstar MES
Process modeling in Camstar
Reporting requirements and specifications for MES.
Analyze and understand business needs from an end-to-end perspective, taking into account other projects.
Participates in Kaizens and other process improvement activities while aligning them with the Business Solutions Roadmap.
- Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time
Education and Experience (in years):
Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of related work experience OR
Master’s degree in field with 0-2 years of related work experience.
Knowledge and skills:
Microsoft Office and Windows
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Apple iOS, and Microsoft Windows troubleshooting
Able to work well with end users
Ability to utilize strong analytical problem-solving skills to quickly resolve issues
Must be able to stand for several hours.
Must be able to see manufacturing processes up close: ability to be on the shop floor and in cleanrooms.
Must work well under pressure, with ambiguity and with minimal guidance.
Must be accurate and have strong attention to details, but also be able to see the big picture.
Quick learner, self-starter, able to drive projects and issues to resolutions.
Manufacturing Execution System experience such as Camstar.
Experience with SAP.
Working knowledge of Agile PLM or other PLM systems.
Experience working in a medical device manufacturing company.
