Danaher Corporation Space Planner in Newark, California
The purpose of the Space Planner is to create and maintain drawing files, plan and carry out furniture projects and aid in the strategic planning required to accommodate company growth. The Space Planner provides CAD and CAFM support to the facilities team and company customer base as a whole.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Updates and Maintain currents versions of as-builts and CAFM program
Processes and delivers data through Cepheid CAFM Program Conducts space use studies and reports on findings
Recommends changes in space assignment and facilities inventory processing to manager
Assists management in identification of problems, trends, or future space needs and makes recommendations
Works closely with customers to plan room layout, to include furniture, equipment, electric/telecom, or other pertinent needs
Manages furniture projects and /or supports the furniture component of larger capital projects
Provides real-time on-site AutoCAD drafting services where needed
- Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time
Education and Experience (in years):
- High school degree (or equivalent experience) with 1-2 years of relevant work experience
Knowledge and skills:
Knowledge of basic architectural principles
Understanding of systems furniture design and layout
Knowledge of CAFM System
Strong 2D AutoCAD skills
Proficiency in MS Office Suite
Strong skills in both written and verbal communication
- High School diploma and five years of consistent AutoCAD drafting experience, five years of facilities space management or any equivalent combination of experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved
