We are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our local finance team. The role entails working closely with cross-functional teams to provide Finance support to the Accounts Payable & Receivable areas of the business. You will have responsibility for the integrity of Debtors & Creditors ledgers for the business unit. You will assist in ensuring the business unit achieves yearly growth and core value targets.
This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in AP/ AR to push forward their career in Finance, we’ll also look to fully fund your AAT!

In this role, you’ll
Manage the accounts payable tasks associated with direct purchases, including invoice posting, issue resolution and payment processing.
Maintain GRNI and document aged items in line with global policy.
Coordinate the accounts receivable tasks for the business unit, including sending statements to customers and following up to ensure prompt cash collection.
Allocate cash receipts and match within SAP to ensure customer accounts are fully up to date.
Collaborate with business contacts on best practice for purchase to payment process relating to direct spend.
Liaise with key supplier and customer contacts to ensure efficient communication and maintain continuity of supply.
Reconcile relevant balance sheet accounts, highlighting any discrepancies and justifying balance in line with SOX guidance.
Maintain strong controls and compliance, supporting external audit, internal balance sheet reviews and regular SOX testing.
What you’ll need to do the job
Experience in processing Creditors invoices and matching purchase orders to invoices.
Experience in Debtor management and cash collection.
Reconciliation of Debtor and Creditor accounts.
Studying or wishing to study towards AAT qualification (study support provided)
Proven ability to implement a programme of continuous process improvement.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Effective time management and communication skills.
High attention to detail.
Positive and proactive mindset.
