We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Director to lead our HR team in NewCastle and Amsterdam. The HR Director has 3 direct reports and leads Human Resource strategies, programs and tools in partnership with Senior Regional Leaders. The HR Director is responsible for effective execution of HR cyclical processes, in addition to setting strategic direction for change management, organisational design; talent attraction and management; compensation and benefits; and data & analytics activities. In addition, the person in this role will serve as an active member/leader of LBS Global HR Strategic Projects.

What you'll be doing:

  • Partner with Site leader to create and implement HR strategies that supports and aligns with Business Unit’s priorities

  • Identify and lead efficiencies of core HR processes– actively challenge leaders to assess and try new things in order to improve team performance

  • Partner with business leaders on all Corporate HR cycles including developing talent funnel for succession of future critical roles

  • Responsible for continuous improvement of critical metrics toward global HR objectives including employee turnover, internal fill rate, and leadership funnel

  • Responsible for collecting and interpreting data, identify trends and create strategies to attract, develop, retain and reward high quality, diverse talent

  • Conducts skills analysis and facilitate leadership skills development training

  • Champions the engagement cycle, partners with leaders to enable an environment where associates are consistently engaged. Responsible for supervising progress on engagement and action planning

  • Coach and counsel people leaders in enhancing their own leadership skills, addressing concerns, and improving on opportunities to develop successful teams.

  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations and compliance issues through a logical and systematic approach. Conducts effective, thorough investigations when required.

  • Coach and lead HR team members to enable team effectiveness and continuous skills development

  • Responsible for management of HR systems, and compensation practices consistent with local regulations and organization-wide policies and practices

  • Adaptive to change: Ability to adapt to work effectively in an environment of change, uncertainty, and ambiguity. Able to make pragmatic decisions in a timely fashion.

  • High Energy: Setting the example by the highest work ethic and passion to excel

A successful candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR or relevant subject area

  • Proven experience in HR leadership roles in diverse, fast pace, global environments

  • Demonstrated ability to lead effectively in matrix organization

  • Proven track record with recruiting, training, and empowering employees in order to balance staffing strength and develop future leaders

  • Deep understanding of the technical and functional components of human resources

  • Proven success in developing HR talent for higher level roles

  • Experience in lean and continuous improvement practices
