The Production Planner for Leica Biosystems is responsible for all production and capacity planning of detections kits, antibodies and ancillary products manufactured in Newcastle, liaising with all key stake holders of the business and regularly communicating with suppliers, customers and third party organisations and adopt responsibility for all areas of daily production planning and scheduling.

This position is part of the planning department located in Newcastle and will be onsite at Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Utilise your experience to plan production & capacity of Newcastle manufactured products.

  • Drive daily priorities across the manufacturing site through daily management to deliver outstanding on time delivery for our customers.

  • Work autonomously and/or as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Proven track record in production planning, stock control / inventory management and lean manufacturing.

  • Experience working with SAP & excel based planning.

  • Experience of working in a highly regulated environment

  • Strong planning and organisational skills with a very structured approach to mapping processes

  • well-developed communication skills with an ability to work at different levels of the organisation
