Pall are looking for an Associate Product Engineer who will lead, manage, report and support Medical Product Engineering Projects, work with cross functional teams to achieve project goals and support Operations, R&D, Regulatory & Commercial teams.
Support the introduction new Medical Products as part of a cross functional team in accordance with the Stage Gate Process
Provide detailed reports linked to projects and organise associated development & qualification batches
Perform and report out on product/process validation activities and failure mode analysis
Carrying out DOE’s and validation activities for new products & existing products & equipment
Writing of product specification, training materials, validation documents and engineering study reports
Take part in regular “focus team meetings” on new product/process introductions
Solve problems by using 6 sigma tools, trend analysis, Design of Experiments, FMEA, process risk assessments to effectively close performance gaps by getting to the true root cause and implementing effective, sustainable countermeasures including best CAPA practices
Participation in gemba walks in the medical rooms across all manufacturing value streams
Manage product artwork & label changes, including the required risk assessments & change control
Support the validation and verification of new injection mould tooling & repairs to validated tooling
Knowledge & Key Skills:
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a cross functional team
Ability to read and assess technical documentation and specifications
Technical writing skills to generate technical reports and instructions
Demonstrate the ability to work on complex technical problems and provide innovative solutions
Ability to prioritise, manage and complete projects with direction
Driven candidate who acts with a sense of urgency to achieve business goals
Preferred Previous Experience:
Experience in Life Science or Medical oriented company or similarly regulated industry
Understanding of process validation & product / process improvement techniques
An understanding of project management
Degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Chemical or Manufacturing Engineering or similar
Good knowledge of MS Office – Including Excel, Word, Power Point
Good knowledge of both written and spoken English
