Pall have a position for an exciting opportunity for a HR Advisor to join their talented, hardworking team in Newquay.

We are looking to speak to people who are driven, passionate about HR and want to make a difference. You would work closely with Lisa, the HR Manager who is a supportive leader who is passionate about her role and is keen to have someone join her team who she can help develop.

Main duties:

In conjunction with our HR Manager:

  • Pro-actively assist and advise managers on human resource issues, in accordance with employment law, best practice, policies and procedures and terms and conditions of employment.

  • Alongside the Recruitment Centre of Excellence and the Hiring Manager, coordinate recruitment and selection of employees in line with the talent plan.

  • Implementation of contractual changes and updates

  • Assist in the Growth & Development of associates through supporting Line Managers.

  • Coordinate the recruitment of temporary employees (Indirect)

  • Coordinate on site training with external trainers

  • Ensure company absence management policy is adhered to and applied consistently. Inform managers on absence issues, ensuring long-term corrective solutions.

  • The compilation of a monthly report outlining key HR activities, trends and progress against KPI’s and site/department objectives

  • Support change management activities as and when they occur, ensuring effective employee communication and engagement is maintained

  • Coordinate annual Performance Appraisal Scheme for all employees

  • Coordinate the utilisation of Wellbeing Provision including Occupational Health, Osteopath and Counselling and other such initiatives

  • Responsible for the accuracy of employee data held in the computerised HR system

  • Provide advice and support to associates on HR and employment matters including policy interpretation.

  • To align with relevant legal requirements and develop practices within the site that uphold and develop the principles of Company Equal Opportunities Policy.

Knowledge & Key Skills Required:

  • Solid understanding of employment law and standard methodology.

  • Diplomatic, tactful and able to maintain confidentiality.

  • Collaborative, great teammate

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including listening, counselling and positively influencing.

  • Continuous improvement mentality

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to track and resolve issues promptly

  • Able to handle a full workload and prioritise conflicting requirements successfully

  • Talent for building relationships across the sites

  • Comfortable working within timeframes and at a fast pace

  • There will be some occasional flexibility required in terms of hours

Qualifications/Education and Experience:

  • CIPD qualified level 5 or 7

  • Degree level education or equivalent

  • Ideally around 3 years or more previous Human Resources experience

  • Experience within a large would beneficial, manufacturing, hospitality or another fast paced environment is preferred

  • Experience in a HR Generalist / Advisor role

  • Experience of supporting in disciplinary / grievance hearings up to dismissals

  • Experience of delivering training courses would be great or a willingness to do so

  • Experience of managing projects would be great or a willingness to do so
