Delivers professional service activities (service certifications, repair, reclaim of parts) and associated training, maintenance, reparation etc.). The Field Service Technician European Repair Center will be executing the tasks and work on achieving the goals assigned to the European Repair Center in Nijmegen, Netherlands and closely work with the local colleagues and the colleagues of the field service organization on service tasks in the Benelux region in order to deliver professional field based service activities. The Repair Center generates cost-savings to the service organization by reclaiming spare parts and assemblies from non-resale instruments to support a lower-cost service contract and warranty service business model, and by processing Service Certified instruments that will be cleaned, tuned, and calibrated and made available for resale.
Acts within general Service policies, business processes and procedures (PPP) and local procedures and rules. Contributes to achieve specific Service related targets as defined in the service KPI's for service order volume, revenue and profit, while complying with AB Sciex policies and procedures. Assures own related asset management including spare parts stock, company car, telephone, tools, software and computers, calibrations, literature etc. Coordinates own work schedule with relevant partners (service co-ordinator, teamleader, colleagues). Produces timely and accurate reports of the own activities as appropriate: i.e. engineer reports, planned maintenance reports, installation reports, expense reports etc. (via e-mail or written). Assures that its own activities are in line with the activities of the rest of the local commercial organisation (sales & support) and informs customers of company's other product and services.
- Professional qualification in electronic/mechanical engineering, life science or chemistry. Computer literate in Windows™ and Networking.
- Good verbal and written command of the English language.
- Troubleshooting knowledge and experience.
- Home based near our European Repair Center facility in Nijmegen, Netherlands.
- Willingness to travel for multiple days at a time across Europe for Customer visits and/or training. Driving license is essential. *LI-HS1
