Our Service team is growing, and we are looking to add to our talented team of Field Service Engineers to look after Pall customers across the Northern regions of the UK. This role would see you carrying out the installation, validation, calibration, maintenance, diagnostics and repair of Pall Biotech equipment at our Customer sites.
The Field Service Engineer position is responsible for the service and support of Pall’s customer base. Responsible for repair, installation, maintenance and calibration of Pall Corporation equipment at customer sites.
Predominantly covering North UK. Occasional travel throughout EMEA is possible.
Customer Satisfaction - Increased efficiency, decreased downtime, regular Calibration and Preventive Maintenance, regular upgrades.
A clear advocate for the customer (internal and external) and a steward for the company
FSE’s are responsible for adding Service Calls into Pall’s Service Management System, scheduling their own visits and closing service calls at completion.
Drives a sense of ownership and urgency to ensure customer needs are addressed promptly and with an emphasis on a “first time fix”.
Training customer personnel in operation/maintenance of Pall Systems
Supporting sales growth, service growth and customer satisfaction by identifying leads for new equipment and services. Able to handle customer accounts and understand where Pall can add more value by offering extra services (e.g. rental units, consumables, service on other equipment, etc.).
Manage individual expenses with on time monthly submission of expense reports.
Completion of weekly scheduling reports and participation in all Team calls.
Btech/ONC/HND/ Apprenticeship or Bachelors (in a mechanical or electrical engineering subject area) or Military equivalent
3 to 5 years Field Service experience
Electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical troubleshooting, theory and application
Some electrical or electronics bias would be useful - e.g. PLC Controls
Strong deductive reasoning and problem-solving skills
Valid driver’s license and valid current passport required.
Willingness to travel - there may be occasional international travel, when not travelling or onsite you would be working from home! There is a company car with this position.
Able to identify, own and track any issues with an account, according to call procedure, to reach resolution.
Commercial experience, experience of or willingness to identify leads and promoting products or services
Supportive of other FSE’s and service team members.
Inclination and ability to listen to partners (e.g. Customers, Sales, Customer Service) and generate meaningful insights.
Successfully deliver results while quickly adapting to changing priorities and unforeseen challenges.
Good at prioritising daily activities and possesses the drive and motivation to take action, resolving issues requiring immediate attention.
Strong Interpersonal and Communication skills - able to remain calm
Good documentation practices and basic knowledge/understanding of GMP.
Excellent at adapting, flexible and understanding of change. Able to think quickly and respond positively to any changes.
