Commercial Operations Comm Ops)Procurement Manager EMEAI The Comm Ops Procurement Manager is a key member of the Strategic Procurement group, supporting the team’s strategic direction and tactical deployment (sourcing) in EMEAI. This position will report to the Senior Manager Procurement in Ireland and will have responsibility for managing stakeholder relationships with various business functions across Beckman Coulter, particularly within the CC/IA Consumables and Hardware commodity areas. The spend to be managed within this commodity is circa $130m. The goal is to build those relationships in order to understand their supply base needs, leading to savings generation and improved value. The position will generate savings project opportunities by working with various Beckman Coulter business units at sites across Europe, including Germany (Krefeld), Switzerland (Nyon), France (Villepinte/Paris), and Italy (Milan). Travel requirements may be frequent, especially in the first several months. She/he must be adept at leading multiple projects simultaneously within a fast-paced, target-oriented environment. The role requires hands-on sourcing implementation from start to finish, along with the ability to engage with stakeholders across several different business functions. The successful candidate will experience in the following areas: Rate negotiation and cost management; services sourcing in categories such as Chemistry, Hardware, Direct and Indirect spend; cost model or should-be pricing development; contract negotiation and drafting; and category strategy development. As an operating company within Danaher, Inc. the Beckman Coulter procurement group is highly aligned with our corporate counterparts. Therefore, the Procurement Category Manager must be comfortable collaborating with other operating companies when the opportunity arises. We utilize the Danaher Business System (DBS) tools whenever possible to drive the Lean concepts of Continuous Improvement (Kaizen), Value-enhancement and Voice-of-the-Customer in context of sourcing activities. The Procurement Category Manager will learn and be an advocate of the DBS. This individual should be growth-oriented, capable of moving up to the next level and willing to make the necessary commitment. Duties: • Identification and preparation of 3rd Party supplier spend projects for competitive bidding • Develop stakeholder engagement with Functional Businesses, including Workshop management • Utilize the Strategic Sourcing method (7-Step Process) and applicable DBS Tools • In-depth analysis of spend data, RFP results and post-negotiation optimization • Contracting with vendors and implementation of selected solutions • Task management of ERP (Oracle) and related Procure-to-Pay activities • Vendor negotiations and supplier relationship management

Requirements • BS/BA with 5 years’ experience, or Master’s degree with 3 years’ experience. An educational concentration in Business, Finance or Economics preferred • Experience in a procurement supply chain function with strong preference towards Indirect services or materials sourcing and management • Experience in 3rd party suppliers in the medical sector. • Demonstrable record of attaining cost reductions and working within target-driven environment • Familiarity with the Strategic Sourcing method or other sourcing process/procedures • Strong analytical ability and high competence with Excel and other MS Office tools. • Knowledge of Lean and/or Six Sigma concepts highly desirable
