Danaher Corporation Advanced Technician Process/Manufacturing Engineering - 18 month FTC in O'Callaghan Mills, Ireland
Beckman Coulter have an opportunity for an Advanced Technician Process/Manufacturing to join us on an 18 month fixed term contract.
Night Shift: Monday - Thursday 12.00a.m - 8.00a.m Friday 10.00p.m - 5.00a.m
Roles & Responsibilities:
Provide Engineering support to the Value Stream Departments to ensure that hourly targets are met by completing maintenance work and performing Equipment problem resolution.
Minimize downtime on Equipment, through fast response, effective root cause analysis and good problem-solving techniques.
Effective analysis and elimination of recurring equipment problems, utilizing the Danaher Problem Solving Tools where necessary.
Continuous improvement of production and output with ownership of associated projects including relevant documentation updates.
Initiate and complete Engineering Change controls with all relevant documentation, Design Change Assessment, pFMEA updating and validation assessment.
Proficient in PLC controls and logic, ability to read and develop machine code Siemens, Mitsubishi and Allen Bradley.
Proficient in root causing electrical issues from 24v DC up to 3 phase supply.
Assisting engineers on setup of new label verification systems – qualification testing.
Liaise with production supervisor / Senior Engineer to understand equipment down priorities.
Providing technical leadership on process issues. Responsible for establishing technical standards. Leadership of projects to resolve complex technical issues regarding equipment.
Expedite the implementation of PM schedules.
Generation of handovers and keeping of accurate records.
Handling issues related to Environmental Health & safety. Ensure compliance to all standards.
Application of DBS tools (Lean techniques) towards the continuous improvement of safety, quality, delivery and productivity.
Provide support to installation of new equipment, facilities install and running of new equipment for validation. Provide maintenance support of Urinalysis Analysers.
Technical degree or diploma and has 10 years maintenance experience in a highly automated industrial environment.
Competent in the use of Danaher tools in the investigation of recurring equipment issues, namely DIVE & PSP.
Experience in Quality assurance, cGMP / FDA QSR / ISO regulations. ISO13485 experience is highly desirable.
Experience in identifying and leading continuous improvement projects.
Experience of PLC programming & proficient in electrical control systems.
Previous experience in some of the following: pneumatics; instrumentation; hydraulics; Vision systems.
A good knowledge of electronics and software controlled systems.
Strong structured / logical problem solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication / presentation skills.
Ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision.
