Currently we are looking for a QC Biochemist who will be responsible for tests development and implementation, sampling and inspection procedures on raw materials, equipment, in-process materials, and/or finished products to ensure that product specifications and company and regulatory requirements are met. QC Biochemist also investigates and troubleshoots functionality and performance problems, recommends corrective action when appropriate. May monitor and execute on-site equipment and tools calibration.

Shift: Days

Days: Monday - Thursday 8.00a.m - 4.30p.m, Friday 8.00a.m to 3.30p.m

Please note that interested candidates will need to be flexible to move to a swing shift pattern should the business require:- Swing Shift: Week 1 Days; Week 2 Evenings

Responsibilities:

  • The QC testing of products and raw materials in accordance with relevant procedures, the review of results to provide a free to fill status, system release and generation of COA’s in a timely manner, as appropriate.

  • Batch History Record review and release, as required.

  • Responsibility for generation of data including reporting and follow up on OOS results and the creation of NC reports or deviations, if necessary.

  • Ensure that GLP and safety standards are maintained.

  • Responsibility for the testing and generation of reports for micro analysis and process water quality in accordance with relevant procedures and follow up on OOS results and the creation of NC reports, if necessary.

  • Real Time stability testing completed per real time schedule and in accordance with relevant procedures.

  • Responsibility for rotated laboratory duties to include calibration, temperature chart monitoring, maintenance programmes, managing laboratory disposable stocks, housekeeping, autoclave waste management etc.

  • Ensure that QC equipment and analysers are maintained in accordance with relevant procedures.

  • Ensure personal training records are maintained and updated, as necessary.

  • Prepare and update QC procedures when required.

  • Liaison with other departments on existing products and new product transfer etc.

  • Training of new employees.

    Requirements:

  • Bachelor Level 8 in Science (chemistry, biochemistry) or relevant technical Degree.

  • Previous laboratory experience is a nice to have but fresh graduate, who wants to start career can be considered.

  • Good working knowledge of GMP & Quality & Safety standards learned at work or at university.

  • Excellent analytical skills.

  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment e.g. analytical balances, pH Meters, Pipettes.

  • Excellent record keeping and high accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Good Computer Skills.
