Position:  AWS (Advanced Workflow Specialist)

For Life Science Research/Environmental/Food/Beverage

Report to: Sales Manager, Sales – Japan

Job Description - Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identification of new business opportunities of Mass Spectroscopy in the advanced segments of the Environmental/Food/ Life Science Research markets (i.e. Pesticide Analysis, Functional Foods, Industrial chemical analysis, omics etc. ) in Japan and drive our business from the technical support perspective collaborated with local sales representative and regional sales manger.

  • Propose the technical solution to meet the customer needs and help sales representative to win the deals.

  • Create the strategy considering the competitor’s approach, market positioning and market trend to expand our business in the view point of the technical specialist

  • Win-rate improvement by collaborative sales process with territory sales representative in target markets

  • Work with the marketing department in associated vertical to drive opportunities and quarterly sales initiatives, e.g. local seminars, lunch/learns, regional conferences, academic partnership programs

  • Maintain latest information on key workflows/market trends and incorporate into local sales strategies

  • Collect VOC and market information and feedback in a structured format to associated MDM

  • Manage key demos for associated opportunities including pre-positioning, data review, and data presentation formats

  • Work with applications support team to optimize demo process for associated workflows

  • Develop initiatives for regional KOLs and works with MDMs and Support to leverage for sales

  • Coordination/delivery of strategic support for key workflow development at customer sites.

  • Join the key project to penetrate new market and approach to KOLs

Candidate Qualification

  • Ph.D or same level technical degree in life sciences or analysis

  • +5 years work experience in analytical or life science industries

  • +5 years hands on MS or HLPC experience: direct experience/Knowledge in associated markets

  • Solid laboratory skills and good troubleshooting skills

  • Sales Acumen and results-oriented mindset

  • Strategic mindset

  • Good communication skills and strong customer skills to establish good relationships

  • Collaborative/team development capability

  • Fluency in Japanese and Business level English
