Summary of Position:
Drive the identification and development of opportunities for regional growth in the advanced segment of Biopharma, Life Science Advanced Workflows, Biologics & High Resolution Mass Spectrometry. This person will drive the demand generation engine and the creation of opportunities through various activities within the region. This will be achieved by being the face of SCIEX for Biopharma, Life Science, Biologics & HRMS in the region, and through working collaboratively with sales representatives, the market development team, the applications team, and regional and national sales management.
Location:
Candidate must live within the region. Region includes the states of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut and portions of Canada.
Travel: 50-75% within region
Key Responsibilities:
Owns:
Drive demand generation of new business opportunities mainly in the advanced segments of Biopharma, Life Sciences, Biologics & HRMS markets within the assigned region. Experience in Metabolomics and Lipidomics a plus.
Serve as the accurate mass champion within the region and drive accurate mass demand and opportunity creation.
Own the opportunity funnel for biopharma, life sciences, biologics and accurate mass across all market verticals
Own the Win-rate improvement by collaborative sales process with territory sales representative in target markets
Work with Market Development Managers (MDM) in associated vertical to drive opportunities and quarterly sales initiatives, e.g. local seminars, lunch/learns, regional conferences, academic partnership programs
Maintain latest information on key workflows/market trends and incorporate into local sales strategies
Collect Voice of Customer (VOC) and market information feedback in a structured format to associated MDM
Manage key product demonstrations for associated opportunities including pre-positioning, data review, and data presentation formats
Develop initiatives to nurture and leverage regional Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)
Coordination/delivery of strategic support for key workflow development at customer sites
Interface w/ SCIEX Applications team to support optimization/execution of technical demonstration activities for associated markets/workflows

Qualifications
Ph.D level technical degree in life sciences
5 years hands on MS experience; direct experience/knowledge in associated markets
Dynamic/Excellent presentation skills
Strong customer skills & Sales Acumen
Solid laboratory skills and good troubleshooting skills
Results-oriented
Continuous improvement mindset
