Pall are currently seeking a Bioprocess Specialist to support our growing business to provide application support to sales representatives and clients in product screenings and treatment program selection, covering customers in France.

Job Summary

Responsible for troubleshooting treatment programs to meet the customer’s cost and performance objectives.

Prepares written trip reports to document recommendations and results, and to assist the sales representatives in advancing the selling process.

Position Objective:

The BPS partners with the Business Development Manager to successfully have Pall products specified in the customers’ early-stage drug development process. The mandate is to execute Pall’s Win-the Spec (WtS) program – having Pall technologies specified in pre-Phase I biological drugs that are a part of the strategic initiative.

Roles and Duties:

  • The majority of projects will be covering target molecules

  • Conduct technical consultations with customers and propose solutions. Activities include conducting lab trials and developing applications and processes using Pall Products in customers’ new drug development processes.

  • Educate and advise customers of the best suited technology. In depth knowledge of downstream processing technologies and Pall products is a must.

  • Perform and coordinate bench scale test work to demonstrate how to get the best out of Pall products. Generate the necessary technical documents for internal and customer use.

  • Work in close relationship with the BDM and other technology specialists, to coordinate activities and improve result.

  • Increase sales by serving as Pall guide in Coordinated Biotech processes to increase the number of applications that have Pall specified.

  • Develop expertise by regular exchange of experiences, applications and technology training.

  • Work with marketing to track and report progress metrics for penetration of drug pipeline.

  • Maintain up to date awareness of relevant technical developments

  • Develops a clear understanding of DBS and employs DVM for reporting of trial work

  • Acts as VOC for NPD and engages with Pall R&D and Marketing

    Basic Qualifications/ Experience:

  • Deep knowledge of Bioprocessing

  • Masters or Ph.D in Bio or Chemistry Engineering or Life Science

  • 3 years of Biotech industry experience, ideally in a PD role

  • Able to communicate confidently in French and English

  • Ambitious and an excellent teammate

  • Willing/able to travel throughout France

  • Hands on aptitude for bench scale studies

  • Strong talent for handling multiple projects and meeting deadlines

  • Attention to detail along with focused approach to work

  • Strong customer facing skills, able to build relationships

  • Active listener, provides consultation, resourceful

  • Knowledge of molecular biology, purification process would be an advantage
