Summary

The Buyer will perform the complex technical duties related to the procurement of the specialized equipment, materials, services and supplies, required by Pall’s operational groups in accordance with all applicable procedures and regulations.

What You'll Do

  • Work with the Engineering team, develop and distribute RFQ/RFP/RFI documents to qualified bidders

  • Coordinates capital purchase with Engineering and Strategic Sourcing

  • Prepares and processes various purchasing related documents, e.g., requisitions, orders, and agreements

  • Determines and develops appropriate sources of supply and maintains cooperative working relationships with vendors to stay current with trends, technologies, products, and services

  • Prepares NDA’s for submission

  • Coordinates material returns and facilitates the receipt of subsequent credit memos

  • Other duties as assigned

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or a science or equivalent experience with engineering components

  • Three (3) years of progressive work experience managing logistics, or purchasing functions on behalf of an organization is preferred

  • Working knowledge of a tier one ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.), is required

  • Prior professional experience within an ISO 9001, 13485 and 14001 certified organization preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral & written)

  • Self-starter with ability to work independently under pressure and react quickly to changing priorities

  • Adaptability to performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure.

  • Ability to maintain both a high standard of courtesy and cooperation in dealing with co-workers

  • Adaptability to accepting responsibility for the direction, control or planning of an activity

  • Adaptability to situations requiring the precise attainment of set limits, tolerances or standards

  • Adaptability to perform repetitive work or to perform continuously the same work, according to set procedures sequence or pace
