The Danaher Business System (DBS) is a set of tools that enables continuous improvement around lean, growth, and leadership. We use DBS to guide what we do, measure how well we execute, and create options for doing even better.

The DBS Specialist for Cytiva is responsible for leading high-impact continuous improvement events and transformations across our growing Pensacola, FL manufacturing site while developing the skill sets of themselves and our associates.

This position reports to the DBS Leader at the Pensacola, Florida site and will be fully on-site. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Apply DBS tools to improve process capability, reduce variation, and eliminate waste.

  • Coordinate, lead, and facilitate Kaizen events across the site.

  • Conduct training of DBS tools for all associates.

  • Provide DBS support to the various functional areas within the plant.

  • Identify and share best practices both within the Pensacola site and across the entire Danaher organization.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related area.

  • Prefer min 2 years’ experience gained in an Industrial/Manufacturing, Production Management, Lean Engineering background or environment.

  • Prefer minimum 2-4 years’ experience using process improvement tools.

  • Strong ability to work well with others and capable of motivating teams to achieve business critical results.

  • Independent, good judgment, positive attitude, and an innovative spirit.

Would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Use of Lean Manufacturing tools
