Position Objective

The Global Infrastructure IT Operations Analyst identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems. Responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support. Documents, tracks and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution. Manages and deploys internal end user technologies (e.g., SharePoint).

We are currently seeking a capable and driven IT Operations Analyst to join our expanding Global IT Operations team. You will play a key role in the delivery of high-quality technical support for business and associates alike. You will take end to end ownership for incidents and escalate them where necessary to see them through to resolution. If you can fix it, great! If not, we have a team to help provide the support you need.

This is a fully-remote position working the newly create weekend shift pattern. The successful candidate will be required to work a 12 hour shift (AM or PM) Saturday and Sunday and then two days during the course of the week.

Knowledge and Key Skills

  • Knowledge of PC hardware, associated peripherals, network hardware, management tools, Microsoft O/S, Server and Desktop.

  • Ability to use technical documentation and diagnostic tools to solve level-1 IT related problems.

  • Ability to work as part of a team.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Good judgment and strong analytical skills as well as follow-up and organizational skills.

    Qualifications/Education (Preferred)

  • Degree or up-to-date professional certification in a relevant technical area

  • At least 2 years’ experience of desktop support

    Essential Job Functions

  • Provide remote user support for desktops, laptops and local lab equipment.

  • Provide administrative support for local server systems.

  • Provide technical guidance to users and management for desktop support.

  • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of Pall hardware and software.

  • Participate in projects or teams and directed by the Manager/Supervisor.

  • Develop and maintain appropriate desktop and server related procedures and ensure these procedures are enforced.

  • Develop a solid understanding of department specific applications.

  • Keep abreast of technical aspects of PC-LAN computing environment.

  • Perform daily backup procedures as defined by technical leads.

  • Find opportunities and recommend solutions for improving service, efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Log into and use telephone and computer-based Service Desk system to record all support activities.

  • Contribute to meeting the departmental key performance indicators.
