The Product Specialist for Leica Biosystems is responsible for working closely with our customer to provide sounded advice, build customer rapport and driving commitment to meet sales targets.

This position is part of the Commercial Department of LBS located in Malaysia and will be Remote. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.

You will be a part of the Commercial Team and report to the General Manager, SEA for now, who is responsible for driving solution selling in Private Hospitals & Laboratories space in Malaysia. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Cold call/ Visit customers and/or potential customers of LBS on a regular and planned basis to promote products and services to achieve monthly, quarterly and yearly sales targets, as agreed with the Manager and focus on collecting, processing, and disseminating market feedback and competitive intelligence to support evolution of our product offerings.

  • Drive business leads and business growth through the development of new business and by growing business with current and new customers.

  • Provide technical advice LBS product, support directly to customers and act as the point of contact as product expert for LBS to support current channel partner team and direct end users.

  • Leads business development in the area of Histopathology business for LBS.

  • Product Strategy: Developing and implementing a product strategy that aligns with the company's goals and market needs. This involves conducting market research, identifying customer requirements, and defining the product positioning.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • 5+ years prior experience in laboratory consumables /equipment sales (Histopath products preferred), product management, and/or distributor management.

  • Possesses good presentation and communication skills, positive outlook, great teammate, driven and self-motivated.

  • Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical technologies, life sciences or related fields with experience in research and/or handling various IVD equipment and consumables.

  • MSc/PhD holders in the related fields will be of advantage.
