Do you want to make a difference to patients' lives? Outstanding opportunity for an experienced DevOps Lead to enhance the development and deployment of our cloud-based data analytics application.

Fully remote position anywhere in the US.

Role Responsibilities

  • Partner with software development team during architecture and design phases including rapid prototyping to ensure the cloud-based data pipeline and web application are being engineered to be optimized for performance, scalability and reliability.

  • Guide globally distributed DevOps team to plan and execute on deployment of artefacts across Dev, QA, Staging and Production environments using Agile methodologies.

  • Design and support high-availability AWS services

  • Define and deploy monitoring, metrics and logging systems on AWS

  • Debug and triage issues, including off-hours as necessary

  • Design, manage and maintain tools to automate operational processes

  • Know the latest on emerging AWS trends, propose improvement opportunities


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other technical / IT field, or similar related industry experience

  • 12+ year of overall experience with last 5+ years as AWS DevOps engineer

  • AWS Certification (AWS Solutions Architect, AWS DevOps Engineer) required

  • Experiences in building infrastructure using Terraform or AWS Cloud Formation

  • Expert in Docker and Puppet/Ansible

  • Experience with Linux OS

  • Experience with web application servers (Tomcat, IIS)

  • Experience with database management systems (Oracle, MS SQL) with AWS RDS deployment preferred

  • Excellent scripting and automation skills in Python, Ruby, PowerShell or Bash

  • Strong hands-on experience in deploying, monitoring, upgrading and troubleshooting following AWS cloud services : Elastic Cloud Compute (“EC2”), Elastic Block Store (“EBS”), Fargate, Batch, Elastic Container Registry (“ECR”), Simple Storage Service (“S3”), Simple Queue Service (“SQS”), Simple Notification Service (“SNS”), Lambda Framework, API Gateways, DynamoDB, AuroraDB, ElastiCache, EC2 Simple Systems Manager (“SSM”)

  • Experienced in designing and deploying AWS security policies in a multi-tenanted environment

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with Jira, Maven, Jenkins, Slack/Confluence, Prometheus, Grafana

  • ITIL principles

  • Systems analysis and architecture experience

  • 5+ years of prior hands on Java based web development (with exposure to JRuby preferred)
