Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, an operating company of Danaher, is recruiting for a Senior Manager, Lab Automation.

This is a remote, work from home position. Locations include Southern California, Boston, New York, Chicago, Miami, Atlanta, Denver as well as other US locations.

This is a great opportunity to join a great company and lead a sales team. The primary objective of this role is to successfully lead a team of sales executives to meet or exceed established sales quotas and margins through the promotion of Beckman Coulter Diagnostics portfolio of products.

This role is instrumental in the development of the annual Business Plan for the country. In addition, this national leader will be charged with coaching, developing and supporting the Sales Team members in the development of individual territory sales plans, goals and objectives. The expectation of the role is to be a leader and mentor for the LASM Sales Team, traveling consistently with each of their direct reports and driving sales results with all customers.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Direct staffing, interviewing, training, and performance evaluations within the Sales Team including providing training to new representatives in the areas of sales skills, product demonstrations, and territory management.

  • Coach, train and develop sales representatives in building a strong, progressive, and motivated work team as well as providing team leadership.

  • Monitoring and executing control of division expenses such as travel, entertainment, advertising and promotion.

  • Leveraging key relationships with internal and external Senior Leaders to achieve current and future strategic goals.

  • Developing and executing key strategies for advancing Beckman Coulter trust and credibility with external stakeholders and aligning long term partnerships with our key customers.

  • Establish and manage on-going procedures/processes for communication of information necessary for accomplishing national automation objectives.

  • Develop, manage and grow business in key accounts.

  • Grow the Automation market segment utilizing new (and existing products) such as DxA 5000 FIT and Automate.

  • Develop and implement customer -specific action plans, develop and deliver business review presentations and host and assist with Trade shows.

  • Active participation in regional meetings, annual business planning sessions, succession planning and performance calibration sessions are essential parts of this role.

  • Complete all assigned compliance and corporate training in a timely manner.

  • Complete all administrative work by assigned deadlines or due dates and strong time and territory management skills.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 14+ years exp. OR Master’s/Doctoral degree with 12+ years exp.

  • 8+ years of sales/marketing experience preferably in diagnostics or within a complex capital sales or solutions selling environment.

  • Must be able to demonstrate direct or indirect influence within a matrix or cross-functional environment.

  • Prior experience in sales or project delivery; gaining followership and coordinating effectively across the business.

  • Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint applications as well as CRM applications.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Strong track record of sales success selling a broad portfolio of products to laboratories and different medical specialties, including capital equipment.

  • 2 or more years of previous management experience.
