As the External Services Sourcing Operations Leader, you will be fully accountable and responsible to manage and drive the direction of the Cytiva’s procurement and onboarding of temporary staffing and other external worker services, as well as functional ownership for the vendor management system (VMS). Strategically, the role will develop industry leading processes, trends and systems to ensure a smooth process associated with the sourcing, acquiring, managing and paying of temporary workers.
What you’ll do
Partner with Corporate & Cytiva’s Indirect team, suppliers, and sponsors to manage Cytiva’s contingent worker process.
Partner with Human Resources and Legal to ensure compliance with local hiring laws and policies
Run bids and hold suppliers accountable to contracts
Support sponsors to ensure detailed deliverable based program
Drive continuous improvement opportunities for digitization, process simplification, process standardization and cycle reduction to accelerate implementation/leverage and maximize business benefit
Influence and at times lead a cross functional steering committee to build requirements and project timeline and then successfully achieve service, quality and timeliness of the objectives
Own governance, develop operating rhythms, proactively monitor risks, escalations, mitigation, initiate necessary corrective actions and present to senior supply chain and finance VP leadership on overall performance
Provide cross country sourcing leadership and support to partners at all levels of the organization
Drive cost improvements by negotiating with suppliers and report on site key Indirect Sourcing metrics (e.g. savings, Days-to-Pay, etc.)
Lead regular sourcing execution reviews with internal clients.
Facilitate cross-functional workshops and efforts as related to sourcing processes and related cost improvements.
Conduct training on VMS sourcing processes and serve as main point of contact on sourcing process inquiries.
Drive sourcing process compliance; Provide input to and deployment support of procedures and guidelines as necessary.
Who you are
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in labor management and Indirect Sourcing roles
Experience with vendor management systems (VMS)
Ability to manage multiple priorities in parallel, both short and long term
Track record of leading, developing, implementing sourcing processes and procedures.
Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
Independent thinker; proven ability to lead across functions; data / fact driven decision maker; change agent; customer focus
Strong change management, facilitation skills, DBS or similar experience
Drive to closure and execution skills including persistent drive for results utilizing sound project management, organizational, communication and problem-solving skills
Communication and interpersonal skills including crisp verbal skills plus effective listening skills; effective written presentation and facilitation skills
Adaptable/Flexible: being open to change in response to new information or unexpected circumstances
Ability and willingness to occasionally travel domestically and internationally (<20%)
Demonstrated ability to lead courageously, maintaining a strong position amidst opposition to resolve important issues, and ability to navigate through a large complex business
