As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for the daily onsite support of our customers with CDI Laser Engraving Equipment (Digital Flexo).
*Main Responsibilities:* You perform onsite services at Esko customers, including: • New installations • Operator training • Electrical, mechanical, laser-optics repairs • Preventive maintenance • Field upgrades and machine software upgrades • Remote support • Set-up at trade shows and demo-locations
• 2 year Electrical, Mechanical, Technology degree or equivalent military-other training • 2 years experience installing-maintaining copier, printing, industrial or military equipment • Able to diagnose and repair complex electrical & mechanical problems • Computer skills: Good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft office, PC hardware and driver install (video, network, HDD) • Customer-oriented and with good ability to clearly communicate progress • You have excellent record keeping (service reports and spare parts) and follow up • Hands-on, proactive and able to work independently • Able to work well under stress of deadlines and down equipment • Able to travel 90% with overnight stays (local travel: 30% -- overnight travel: 60%) • Able to lift 50 lbs. occasionally • Experience with lasers is a plus
