Pall Industrial is seeking a Research Fellow, Polymer Chemistry to join our Center of Excellence located in Port Washington, NY. This is a newly created role to further advance breakthrough technologies. It's an exciting time to join Pall!
This role is perfect for a highly qualified, thought leader whose professional and academic career has focused on Polymer and Membrane Science. The Research Fellow's background includes a record of scientific achievements as evidenced through journal publications, patents, speaking engagements at industry conferences on polymer chemistry and surface modification.
Knowledge and expertise in various polymer science, materials research, process engineering of high temperature polymer materials, synthesis and characterization of polymer, organometallic chemistry and surface modification of inorganic or organic substrates
Work and provide guidance to a group of polymer synthesis/chemistry and engineers proving concept and scale up of polymers for surface modification.
Deliver engineering solutions to enable rapid transfer of chemistry/membrane capabilities from research to Development and thru manufacturing.
Assist in identification of new polymer chemistry, membrane technologies, ligand chemistry, and coordination chemistry
Acts as a domain expert in surface modification chemistry and next generation chemistry
Open Innovation, in particular working with external membrane vendors.
Work with universities, companies and different consortium groups to lead groundbreaking research for next generation polymers, capabilities, or processes. Identify methods to rapidly test and translate to research process.
Connect with Development, marketing and various business unit teams, on a global scale for the delivery of next generation technology and connection to customer and develop road map and strategies for polymer chemistry area of activities.
Communicates clearly with team members, management, customers, suppliers and other key partners. Participates in teleconferences during off hours

PhD in Chemistry, Polymer or Material Science with a minimum 15+ years of R&D experience with clear and consistent track record in membrane innovation and product delivery, intellectual property generation and relevant academic links.
