Pall Corporation of Port Washington, NY is adding new talent to our growing Pall Life Sciences R&D team. In this exciting role as a Senior R&D Engineer you will have responsibility to support polymeric membrane research and development efforts to existing legacy media and develop new membranes in different applications for Life Sciences (Biotech, Medical and Lab).

Designs, plan and execute experiments in either lab scale for development or optimization of existing processes for legacy membranes.
Problem solve, analyze results, summarize reports, and determine the next steps in an organized technical manner.
Process Control and Automation, Process design as it connects to capacity expansion and sustainability of key legacy media. Includes process development (scale-up) from pilot processes to full MFG scale

Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science & Engineering (5-7+ yrs relevant work Experience or Master’s in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science & Engineering (3-5+ years relevant work experience) or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science & Engineering (1-3+ years relevant work experience)
Membrane polymer experience, Process Control Automation, process development, SPC, Design of Experiments
Demonstrated sound application of engineering discipline (polymer science a plus).
Clearly and effectively analyze, summarize, and communicate progress and results in oral and written form.
Evaluates, recommends, and implements well-reasoned solutions to technical problems.
Design, plans, and conducts effective experiments targeted to gain needed knowledge and information for project success.
Recognize statistically significant trends and anomalies in data and determine relevance and/or infer potential meaning to effectively solve problems.
Process development or optimization of existing process experience is preferred.
Work effectively with team members and cross functional team member (ie: Product Engineering, Operations/Manufacturing, Marketing) in a positive, professional manner.
Lead tasks or sub-projects within a project team. Directs and provides engineering feedback/recommendations; manage implementation for various functions with a project.
Experience with pilot to Manufacturing process scale up experience a plus.
Knowledge of critical operation’s needs (such as cGMP, Six Sigma, DOEs)
