The Sr Technical Product Specialist (TPS) will represent Beckman Coulter Diagnostics working within a complex, team-based selling process targeting prospective and current customers. And be responsible for supporting the sales team with strategy in accordance with approved sales and marketing plans.
You will do this by partnering with the local sales team throughout the sales cycle providing expertise in Hematology and/or Urinalysis positioning against non-Beckman Coulter products, reinforcing the advantages for our clinical or highly technical customers, (ie., medical directors, hematopathologists, and other clinicians).
As the TPS, you will effectively combine selling, negotiating and technical expertise of the lab, Beckman Coulter and non-Beckman Coulter products to successfully promote and consummate the sale of Company products and services to achieve or exceed the assigned territory sales plan.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Serve as Subject Matter Expert for the Beckman Coulter and non-Beckman Coulter Hematology and Urinalysis product lines.
Confidently demonstrate and serve as the field-based technical expert in the assigned workflow-based product portfolio.
Work closely and support ongoing growth in Sales product knowledge in strategic technical advantages.
Develop and teach competitive advantages and countermeasures to our internal and external customers
Collaborate closely with Sales Executives to advance the opportunity and ensure line of site to any obstacles or systemic issues that would prevent us becoming technical vendor of choice.
Provide support through peer level expertise with highly technical customers; engaging with an account when further product differentiation is required to advance the sale at a highly technical level, involving side-by-side evaluations or case study reviews as needed.
Assist in gaining hematology and urinalysis technical vendor of choice designation to win the business to support core growth in key accounts.
Act as Business Unit liaison for new and future product introductions
Conduct high level technical customer presentations, VIP and demo van demonstrations as appropriate.
Run wet and dry demonstrations of Hematology and/or Urinalysis instrumentation at customer sites.
Successful Candidates will have:
Proficient knowledge in Hematology and Urinalysis and solid understanding of hematology and urinalysis workflow
Demonstrated strong communication and presentation skills required for large audiences
Demonstrated ability to assemble, derive conclusions, and explain data driven conclusions
Experience in selling, persuasive and/or negotiating skills
Proficient experience with Microsoft software, PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Internet Explorer
Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years clinical hematology experience
Medical Technologist or CLS with recent 5+ years’ clinical hematology experience
Certified Specialist in Hematology (SH) Certification (ASCP or equivalent) is preferred.
Ability to travel up to 70% (may vary according to assigned area).
