_Position Summary:_ _ _ As part of the Office of Airworthiness, the Certification Engineer will perform certification tasks to secure EASA airworthiness approval for Pall parts and sustain Pall’s EASA Part 21 sub-part J Design Organisation Approval (DOA).

_Main Duties:_ * Generate certification packages and manage their delivery to regulatory authorities to achieve product certifications. * Create and check Pall DOA certification documents and data. * Report on performance and progress of certification tasks. * Support the maintenance of Pall’s Design Organisation Handbook procedures with respect to regulatory changes and audits. * Prepare for EASA DOA Surveillance and Pall ISM Audits and complete resulting actions as necessary. * Generate Statement of Work packages for outsourced tasks for the support of certification activities. _Job Specific Responsibilities:_ * Prepare packages of DOA documents and substantiation data for the certification of major design changes via EASA Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) application and minor design/repair changes approved by Pall’s DOA. * In conjunction with the Chief of the Office of Airworthiness, co-ordinate certification activities with EASA for new and existing STC major design change projects * Co-ordinate project certification activities as required, including flight test activities with a nominated Flight Test Organisation when appropriate. * Interface with EASA in various areas such as aircraft certification, regulatory changes, flight standards, inspections and continued airworthiness. * Create DOA documents (including certification reports, accomplishment instructions, manual supplements and Instructions for Continued Airworthiness). * Support maintenance of the Design Organisation Handbook and associated procedures. * Maintain DOA records, engineering files and company records. * Interface with company staff (including the Part 21 sub-part G Production Organisation) and external suppliers/sub-contractors to support certification requirements. * Develop knowledge of Pall Aerospace product lines that fall within Pall’s DOA scope (Terms of Approval).

Qualification
_Knowledge & Key Skills:_ * Demonstrable knowledge of the certification process within Aerospace * Positive input toward company objectives _Essential Qualifications/Education:_ * Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering Bachelors Degree (BEng/BSc) * Fully literate in Office software and documentation control systems * A certification in Aerospace Quality or Certification is desired though not essential _Essential Previous Experience:_ * Certification process for design and repair changes to Large Aeroplanes and Rotorcraft or similar. * Creation and maintenance of certification procedures in line with regulatory requirements or Engineering Quality audits. * Experience with EASA Part-21 or MAA requirements. *Miscellaneous:* * Occasional travel in the UK and abroad at short notice * Confident delivering technical information in presentations * Current driving licence (highly beneficial but not essential)
