Want to lead a team of experienced Project & Program Managers for the development of new technological products in the Aerospace Industry? The Director, PMO is responsible for the Aerospace BU Project Management Office.
Responsibilities include leading the NPI & NPD projects teams, the coordination and completion of the project’s portfolio on time, within budget, while monitoring and controlling risks and project’s scope. The Director, PMO makes decisions on project activities to balance scope, schedule, and cost while keeping in mind the strategic impact to the business and the company’s priorities. Oversee all aspects of assigned projects, set deadlines to meet the master schedule, assign responsibilities and hold team members accountable; communicate with the customer and internal stakeholders, and monitor and control progress of projects. This position is part of the Aerospace PMO Department and will be located remotely (UK or USA based).
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Oversee profitable growth with the customer in mind throughout project execution.
Manage international teams assigned to support the portfolio and project teams with business strategy.
Collaborate with all functions to leverage project execution and capture strategies and resources through the design and manufacturing phases of the projects in the portfolio.
Grow relationships in the customer community and with large industry primes to service existing projects and find new and unique ways to deploy our technology and services to meet customer needs.
Ensure effective contract management of our contracts that balances financial, operational, commercial and technical risks appropriately for both customer and Pall Aerospace interests.
Establishes governance structure that identifies key performance indicators, sets milestones, and establishes a reporting cadence
Proactively identifies and resolves issues and makes recommendations for continuous improvements to existing processes
Ensures that the product management process abides by all defined cross-discipline standards and all compliance and regulatory requirements
Provide consistent leadership to the Project Management to ensure effective and efficient execution of assigned projects
Drive an engaging team culture through to achieve delivery of distinctively high-quality products and services; to include performance, reliability, cost and on-time delivery.
Identify and close skill gaps within the team while also guiding and mentoring the team.
Lead Performance and Development Process for all direct reports, including providing coaching and development opportunities that will allow everyone’s potential to be maximized.
Drive the annual engagement survey as well as leads the execution of follow up activities, both for the organization as well as with people leaders.
Apply DBS Processes
Develop and continuously improve processes, including all relevant tools from the DBS Growth and Leadership domains.
Link business needs and opportunities to DBS and develop a roadmap to close gaps, install/improve process, and sustain results.
Actively manage a DBS kaizen funnel to provide visibility of events, focus on gap closure, and sustainment. Schedule, charter, and facilitate events according to the phases of this funnel.
Directly provide formal and informal DBS training and coaching. Augment with additional resources (DBSO, outside resources) where applicable, and improve DBS training and facilitation by pursuing certification in DBS tools for yourself and others.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s degree in business or related engineering discipline. MBA preferred.
PMP or equivalent certification required.
10+ years of Project management experience, with emphasis on support and sustainment programs.
7+ years people management experience, directly and indirectly leading organizations of 10 or more individuals, globally.
Danaher Business System (DBS) experience is a plus.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Experience with compiling, managing, and maintaining key documentation for projects.
Knowledge of the Global Aerospace Marketplace with experience ideally in filtration and separation processes or related discipline such as aircraft systems for fuel, hydraulics, air and/or lube.
Demonstrated track record leading large scale aerospace and Defense business capture efforts.
Knowledge of the regulatory and quality requirements for the Aerospace and Defense industry and customers.
