We are currently seeking an EMEA Contract & Risk Engineer to sit between our Sales and legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting Capital Goods Projects, outlining the impact of contract terms, compliance obligations, customer concerns, etc. Primarily on the Oil & Gas market.
Manage the preparation, review, submission, and negotiation Capital Goods contracts for EMEA.
Understand the impact of customer specs on costs. Assembly of total cost of proposed solution – definition of conditions for guarantees and limitation of Pall liabilities – adapt Pall scope in order to minimize risks and improve profitability.
Support the EMEA team with all commercial activities and commercial risk management of NDA’s, secrecy agreements, bank guarantee’s, insurance, review and negotiation of terms and conditions, leading risk assessments, coordination of opportunity council reviews, support the draft and PO review along with financial & commercial checklists, VAT and commercial reviews.
Drive the sales, operations and sourcing teams for PO / contract reviews, organisational change, negotiating liquidated damages / claims.
Ensure that the Contract Review and Risk Assessment process is implemented for EMEA customer contracts and to monitor and measure the effectiveness of this process!
Position Qualifications & Competencies:
Degree in Engineering is highly preferred with commercial / legal experience.
Experience with engineering contractors and Oil and Gas commercial contracts is preferred.
Able to draft complex, non-routine contractual instruments.
Must have excellent knowledge of corporate policies and procedures, coupled with ability to identify required improvement to established policies.
Working to expert knowledge of EMEA contracting concepts, applicable public contract law and regulations, and applicable international contract law.
