The Global Product Manager of modular bioprocess systems is responsible for the development of the product strategy, roadmap and business objectives for SU-Chromatography, TFF and DFF Systems (including standard and customized offerings) and Software. This position works in conjunction with commercial leaders to define, implement, and measure growth opportunities Additionally, this position researches and plans the strategy for development of new product features and offerings. This role leads Voice of Customer, product development, segmentation, branding and growth for assigned product lines. For this position it is required leadership and strong collaborative execution engagement in life cycle management, product plans, new product development programs, marketing, customer research, commercialization, and support for effective the implementation of the go-to market product strategy.
Main Duties:
Create and maintain the business portfolio plan
Analyze market problems, product solutions and how customers gain value from business offerings (duality of the product/market pair)
Seek new market opportunities for portfolio innovation, new product features, value proposition to drive the new product development tollgate process and product launch.
Own the product portfolio roadmap that contribute the revenue and market share growth, margin expansion and productivity gains for the organization
Involved through all stages of a product family’s lifecycle
Maintain a portfolio status dashboard
Analyze product profitability and sales success
Pricing strategy
Operational involvement
Support manufacturing in capacity planning and product shortage
Understand manufacturing issues, quality constrains and consult Quality Assurance
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related life sciences field. MBA preferred.
Several years of combined experience in practical bioprocess applications, marketing, product management or sales in the biopharmaceutical industry.
Experienced with BioProcess Systems
Market knowledge in mAb manufacturing and gene therapy market, or any other BioProcess related experience
Proven success in product launches and end-to-end execution of marketing strategies
Ability to do product demonstrations
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills required; and leading multiple priorities and projects with dynamic timelines to execution
Excellent writing and communication skills; at up to director/ VP level
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects
Up to 40% travel, including domestic and international travel to customers, meetings, and technical conferences/exhibits.
Fluent in English, good command of German
