We have a fantastic opportunity for an Onsite Service Engineer to join biotech team in Portsmouth!

Who you’ll do:

Technical Subject Matter Expertise (SME)

  • Develop as overall system subject-matter-expert (SME) on Pall products. Focus on bioprocessing hardware while acquiring applications knowledge to aid in problem diagnosis.

  • Perform routine calibration, preventative maintenance (PM), repair, and upgrade of Biotech systems.

  • Service call closure – Accurately report all work into Pall’s Service Management System on a timely basis.

  • Manage inventory accurately and on timely basis. Manage calibration of tools and test equipment used.

  • Manage PM, calibration, and routine maintenance schedules across installed base of systems.

  • Adhere to Technical Escalation process.

Core Responsibilities – Customer Satisfaction

  • Deliver customer satisfaction in all aspects of the job. Increased throughput, decreased downtime, ensure Biotech systems are operating to specification. Advocate for the customer (largely focused on internal customer) and be a steward for the company.

  • Drive a sense of ownership and sense-of-urgency ensuring customer needs are promptly addressed with an emphasis on achieving first-time-fix.

  • Ensure customer expectations are exceeded. Close all outstanding issues taking charge of customer issues.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree; Or equivalent of 9 years experience (with at least 5 years experience in a similar role). High School diploma/GED required

  • Excellent troubleshooting and Problem-Solving skills (Electrical, mechanical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic)

  • Technical aptitude to comprehend technical product training content, read schematics and block-diagrams, effectively use technical documentation

  • Demonstrated ability in and commitment to continuous process improvement

  • Strong teamwork, flexibility, comfortable with ambiguity, adapting to changing priorities on daily basis, thinking quickly and responding positively to change.
