Due to our Life Sciences expansion, we are looking for a Plant Controller to direct the financial affairs of our Portsmouth manufacturing site!

In this role, you will prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly financial documents with supporting schedules for Finance and Operations, Site Operations and Corporate Finance/Shared Services.

  • Partners with Plant Manager of site to provide pertinent data to establish Operational and Financial goal alignment and drive towards results.

  • Attends Gemba daily as Finance Leader, ensuring Operational activities discussed are appropriately accounted for financially.

  • Shines the light on areas of opportunity and challenges the business to implement changes for financial improvement.

  • Verifies financial results & analysis including: Shin events, kaizen, lines moves, Investment Proposal Authorizations and VA/VE projects.

  • Contribute to operational improvement ideation, team involvement and independently manage projects utilizing DBS tools to achieve improvements in Operation cost structure as well financial controls, reporting and SAP processes.

  • Coordinates and owns the preparation of the budget/forecast process for site including as well as analysis of the variances

  • Drive site’s adherence to Pall policies, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles for all functions within trial balance. (Cycle Counting, E&O, Tax Package).

  • Responsible for the completeness and accuracy of site Trial Balance (all functions) including internal/external audit of the financial documents.

  • Creates interim, quarterly and annual financial documents (Spread template) and supporting analytical review to Global Operations Controller and Corporate Reporting.

  • Ability to articulate financial performance (past and future) in a clear, concise manner to senior management.

  • Collaborates with Operations to implement Standard Cost for existing products and new products by maintaining a high level Operational understanding of the value streams within the site and the financial components.

  • Directs and supervises the COE accounting team assigned to the manufacturing site.

  • Liaison between local site operations team and centralized financial support functions.

Education & Proficiencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting desirable.

  • ACMA / ACCA preferred.

  • 8-10 year experience in general/cost accounting, standard cost, and manufacturing finance.

  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.

  • Ability to prepare financial reports, statements and projections.

  • Communication of financial results to management.

  • Advanced SAP user.
