Our applications team are looking for an applicant able to take ownership of the technical information for polymeric materials used to support the qualification and selection of components used in our disposable single use systems. These systems are used for the development and manufacture of new drugs including vaccines. In this role you will be responsible for the master material data and supporting our engineering, regulatory and sales teams.
Evaluate material data for correctness and usability.
Analyze specifications and standards.
Liaising with suppliers, customers and engineering/development staff.
Provide technical advice to engineers on material selection.
Manage user documentation about process limits and compliance to regulatory requirements.
Develop datasheets and specifications.
Implement change notifications in the materials database.
Qualifications & Competencies:
Degree in materials engineering, chemical engineering, chemistry, physics, polymer science or biotechnology.
Experience working with database driven systems/applications.
Membership of a recognized technical institution would be advantageous.
Effective teammate and willingness to support others.
High level of patience!
Good eye for detail and accuracy.
Good problem-solving skills.
Persistent in driving through an action to a resolution.
Excellent written and oral English language skills.
Meticulous data research and analysis skills.
Proactively support continuous improvement.
