The Accelerator Process Development group at Pall specializes in designing, optimizing, and transferring scalable processes from pre-clinical to validated cGMP ready manufacturing.
The team is seeking a highly motivated Project Co-ordinator to oversee the day to day lab operations, ensuring that client projects are progressing and systems are set-up / maintained according to quality standards and SOPs. This includes, but not limited to; ordering laboratory supplies/placing orders on SAP, attending daily project and customer meetings, maintenance of inventory database, and supporting both scientists and project managers.
Conduct inventory usage analysis and re-set current min/max and re-order points, ensuring it aligns with team’s needs and future customer projects.
Consistently evaluate inventory cost and support the finance team with vendor negotiations
Acts as a resource person to laboratory staff regarding the procurement of equipment and supplies.
Actively perform gap analysis and identify possible improvements on current standard working procedures.
Support customer projects ordering consumables and monitoring delivery lead times to ensure deadlines are maintained when provided with a Bill of Materials.
Ensures that the laboratory staff are aware of goods ordered, received, stored and coordinates the distribution of supplies within the laboratory.
Responsible for ordering, receiving, storage and distribution of all reagents, supplies, consumables, equipment, parts, paper, forms, and any other inventory item(s) related to the operation of the laboratory.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of project metrics around inventory to team members and stakeholders.
Support management in preparation for inventory and invoicing audits, including document review.
Maintains adequate stocks of inventory while allowing for little to no wastage of inventory.
Maintains an efficient system of inventory control.
Support the project managers to create project plans, budgets and tracking project expenses.
Support the project managers to manage the delivery of projects to agreed constraints, highlighting and proposing solutions to overcome risks or violation of metrics.
Participate in customer meetings and provide updates on the status of Bill of Materials highlighting any risks or delays to orders.
Maintains the database of all laboratory inventory and supplies.
When directed, works with the lab operations team to maintain and communicate when equipment servicing can be executed against forecasted project capacity.
When directed, coordinate and follow-up on all instrument preventative maintenance and emergency services. This may occasionally require after-hours phone calls and contact with vendors.
Work closely with the laboratory team, project managers, facility, EH&S, and procurement staff.
Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Business and Supply Chain Management, or related subject.
Ability to work independently coordinating laboratory and project logistics.
An understanding of laboratory techniques would be desirable not non-essential.
Analytical, troubleshooting, and development skills with strong attention to detail.
SAP experience is advantageous.
