Danaher Corporation Undergraduate Design Engineer in Portsmouth, United Kingdom
To provide the capability to model/draft filtration components for Pall Aerospace filtration applications.
Work cooperatively with Chief and Principle Engineers to achieve modelling/drafting objectives in terms of accuracy and timescales commensurate with project deadlines for Pall Aerospace filtration systems and other similar assemblies.
To take ownership of modelling/drafting objectives defined above for Pall Aerospace filter systems and associated products either against individual design specifications or as part of a broader system. Provide support during design, development, prototype and pre-production manufacture.
To support the focus on new projects, which demand involvement and coordination to achieve the following project objectives:
Meeting the customer specification Competitive Product Cost Reliable products On time delivery
To support the Chief and Principle Engineers to achieve a concurrent engineering holistic approach to new product involving all relevant specialist personnel to enable the following:
Sales / Customer
Specification evolution, realistic design requirements
Integration of Pall Aerospace filtration applications into applicable filter systems
Milestone identification, time scale reduction
Drawings and Support of other draft persons
Early/ongoing design reviews
Realistic designs, ease of manufacture
New purchases/suppliers, long lead items
Costing project & product, Capital required, Reduced inventory
Test protocols and equipment
Potential development areas
Integrate lean manufacturing philosophy within the modelling/drafting process
