Our ideal SALES ENGINEER will be responsible for managing existing customer relationships ensuring that routine technical support needs are provided, selling Videojet's products and solutions, and driving profitable growth. The successful candidate will also be responsible for identifying and meeting the needs of prospective customers by providing necessary technical support and promoting and selling solutions.

This is a REMOTE opportunity - The territory will include Central and Northern NJ and Southern Tier Of NY State ; Major towns - Morristown NJ , Montvale NJ , Clinton NJ, Piscataway NJ , Newark NJ Paramus Nj Mahwah NJ Spring Valley NY Poughkepsie NY, Newburgh NY, Port Jervis NY

Bonus points for experience with building strong, long-term customer relationships, based on value, which will help contribute to Videojet's continued industry leadership position and strong financial performance.

In your main role at Videojet, you will:

  • Promote the value of Videojet coding, marking and imaging products and services to the customers within the specified geographic territory with the goal of improving sales revenue growth and market penetration.

  • Understand Videojet's value proposition and customer needs as well as business levers that impact value to prepare and successfully negotiate contracts with win-win outcomes.

  • Develop and share customer and market trends and competitive intelligence with counterparts (marketing, research, technical service, customer service, supply chain, etc.) to promote increased market knowledge and benefit from potential opportunities to increase revenue and/or profitability.

  • Develop appropriate sales volume, pricing and standard margin forecasts and capitalize on/compensate for market changes via price changes or share gain.

  • Have responsibility for conducting revenue generating activities in the specified sales territory. Doing this in a balanced, resource efficient way is a source of competitive advantage for Videojet vs its competitors.

  • Prioritizing opportunities for equipment sales growth and the specific actions required to gain them.

  • Improving sales efficiency and effectiveness through the meticulous use of sales tools such as "sales funnels" and "ROI based selling".

Critical Success Factors for the Ideal Candidate Profile are:

  • Results driven and possesses a strong sense of personal accountability

  • Motivation to grow within Videojet and Danaher; drive to succeed and exceed KPIs and targets

  • Ability to travel 20% to 40% of the time

  • Ability to think and plan strategically

  • Proven success in each of the described competencies in a business-to-business capital goods selling environment

  • Experience with SFDC and Strategic Selling skills would be a plus

Your Education and/or Background Experience will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree Required, preferably in a Technical or Business field

  • Minimum of 5 years’ technical sales or account management experience; capital equipment would be strongly preferred

  • Direct sales experience in the ink jet product coding industry would be strongly preferred

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to learn and train on Videojet products and technologies as part of onboarding, and successfully fulfill testing requirements in 4-8 weeks

  • Ability to meet full quota requirements at 6 month timeframe

  • Ability to lift or move 30-50 pounds on occasion
