POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary role of this position is to provide expertise and partnership with commercial leaders on global design business intelligence tools, predictive analytics data models, and provide training and support to end users for decision making. The Global Data Analyst acts as a strong business partner to the Data Architecture Team supporting experimental frameworks to collect and organize data to one global source of information. The Global Data Analyst builds tools to automate data collection for the commercial organization to improve global reporting, forecasting metrics, and PD/KPI reviews.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create paginated reports of standard daily, weekly, monthly global reporting, KPIs and performance analysis that support policy deployment indicators review of actuals versus Plan/Forecast for the global commercial organization in Power BI cloud environment

  • Migrate current Qlik Sense ETL applications and on prem PBI apps to Power BI cloud environment

  • Cultivate knowledge of global database structures and analytic tools

  • Build industry standard data models using data modelling computer software (Erwin)

  • Design and maintain BI tools/reporting implementing user requested data requirements, including close collaboration with IT department for testing and validation

  • Apply knowledge of statistics, machine learning, programming, data modelling, simulation, deep learning and advanced mathematics to recognize patterns, identify opportunities, pose business questions, and make valuable discoveries leading to better business decision making

  • Provide analytical expertise and thought leadership for understanding business performance leveraging internal and external data assets to make better data-driven decisions

  • Collaborates with global Business Intelligence colleagues to share key learnings, leverage ideas and solutions to propagate best practices

  • Collaborates with other project teams leading Data Architecture/Data Governance to ensure appropriate alignment between the technical and functional project goals

  • Develop standard documentation and data model diagrams related to BI tools development and maintenance, reporting processes, and data files to ensure complete back up coverage when necessary

  • Use DBS to sustain processes of data management, maintenance, stewardship, action plans and standard work. Assist with problem solving process as necessary for data extraction and pareto understanding

  • Utilizes time effectively, using daily management of activities, and prioritization to meet deadlines (identifies sense of urgency and immediate impact versus daily tasks).

  • High degree of computer and programming skills (Access, Query, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, ERP system, SQL, etc.)

    QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of BS or BA in Business Administration, Business Intelligence, Finance, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

  • A minimum of 5+ years successful experience in an analytical role, 7+ years preferred

  • Basic knowledge on software development principles and architecture

  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Familiarity with programming for data analysis; Python, SQL, or R

  • Knowledge of Cloud technologies

  • Knowledge of UAT experience and management

  • Profound experience in ERP and CRM systems such as Oracle, Infor, Sales Force

  • Solid design and/or data modeling experience in BI tool development and reporting software applications such as Qlik Sense, QlikView, Power BI, Tableau, Noetix, Discoverer, etc.

  • Ability to effectively communicate effectively with non-native English and native English speakers

  • Ability to support project management and deliver results on a global regional scale

  • Proven experience working with key stakeholders at various levels (including Executive Level) within a matrix organization
