We are seeking to hire a Cost Accounting Manager that will be responsible for all cost and accounting activity at Pall's Putnam CT site. This includes month-end close, oversight of annual budgeting process and forecasting based on corporate guidelines and established financial policies.
Core Responsibilities Include:
Partnering with site Plant Manager to establish and implement operational / financial goals and get results.
Prepares weekly flash, monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and supporting analytical review to Global Media Site Controller and VP of Global Media Operations.
Adhere to Pall policies, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Leads financial closing process for the site ensuring all deliverables are met
Quickly understands the value streams within the site and the financial components. (Volume, overhead cost, labor cost, standards, yields, efficiency, etc.)
Prepares and presents daily/weekly/monthly financial results (including monthly financial performance package) to site operational team.
Using general cost and accounting principles; will be able to provide in-depth understanding of key operational metrics to support financial reporting.
Coordinates and leads the preparation of the annual budget process for site including operational budgets at the cost center level.
Performs periodic review of Master Data items and coordinate material status updates as require
To be successful in this role, the desired candidate must have :
Proven track record in cost accounting including standard cost and manufacturing finance
Manufacturing industry experience to include plant operations / accounting / inventory control.
Advanced use of Excel as well as strong knowledge of SAP and HFM
Proficient in Word, PowerPoint and Hyperion ( + )
Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including GAAP.
Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
Ability to prepare financial reports, statements and projections and deliver to results to senior management.
Prior employment in Finance Consulting firms such as KPMG, Ernst & Young is a plus .
Ability to balance multiple priorities and determine prioritization
Energetic and ready to advance career to next level ( Controller ) and beyond
Bachelors degree in Accounting , CPA or advanced degree is desired.
Work safely and to comply with the company’s health, safety and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures
